I tried looking and searching for posts on this but did not see one. If I missed something, feel free to just share a link. 
What are your favorite books to read for Lent? For you, not the children.
I'm looking for maybe a short, daily reading with a devotional and maybe a prayer or something? But I want it to be focused on the season of Lent...fasting, prayer, etc.

My very favorite is The King, Crucified and Risen by Fr. Benedict Groeschel.
He is a very pithy writer and to me it is like reading wisdom written by a loving grandfather.

I like reading Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's Life of Christ and Carryl Houselander's Little Way of the Infant Jesus (previously titled Wood of the Cradle, Wood of the Cross), during Lent.
I just realized that you asked for daily readings not a book book, so I came back to update my recommendation.  In this case, I recommend Fr. Benedict Groeschel's The King Crucified and Risen: Meditations on the Passion and Glory of Christ.

I will be reading the Lent volume In Conversation with God by Francis Fernandez. I use this for my daily meditation, but the Lent/Easter volume is one of the best -- all the criteria you were mentioning -- prayer, fasting, almsgiving, wonderful hard-hitting meditations.
This Lent I'm also reading "Journey Towards Easter" which was written by our pope when he was Cardinal Ratzinger. I started it last year after Easter, but wanted to save it for Lent. Rich stuff. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to find.
I also like to read a life of our Lord, and it's been a long time since I've read Bishop Sheen's Life of Christ, but I might find another.
That might be a good thing, to list really good adult reading on the life and/or passion of Christ.

My all-time favorite:
Season of Mercy by Catherine Doherty. I read it every year. It is out of print and there are only a few copies on amazon. I hope Madonna House reprints it soon. It is a wonderful book.
I also read the In Conversation volume for Lent and Eastertide.

Good to know that it's OOP, Jennifer. I was going to recommend that one, too.
I started trying to think of the boooks on the Life of Our Lord or focusing on the Passion. These suggestions are from Father Hardon's Catholic Lifetime Reading Plan:

One book I love to use as an aide to meditation during Lent is The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. A serious examen and a deep meditation on the mercy, love, and grace of God in Christ Jesus.

I just ordered Fr. Longenecker's new book, The Gargoyle Code for dh for Valentine's Day. I'm hoping he'll share

Thank you all for sharing these wonderful resourses and taking the hard work out of working out good books for Lent. Some were on my mental list to read.
Now I'll just go off and rummage through our books shelves for as many of these gems as I can find.
