Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've seen several of his other performances. He's wonderful! Definitely go if you can.

I have seen earlier productions as well...in fact I'll date myself considerably with this quote from the history section of Leonardo Defilippis website:
Quote:
For three decades, Saint Luke Productions has brought professional theatrical, DVD and feature film dramas on the life of Christ and His saints to audiences of more than one million people throughout the English-speaking world. This unique ministry and production company began in 1980, when Leonardo Defilippis was a Shakespearean actor with the dream of presenting the Gospel of Luke in a new dramatic form, as a one-man production that would tour Northwest U.S. churches for a season.

He visited our family's parish in that early one-man production tour of the NW. I was in high school then.

He is a very talented performer.

I'm trying to decide if we can go to this. If yes, who should go, etc.

Anyone have any feedback about age appropriateness?

Suzanne,

My husband is an extra in the filmed version of it. We are seeing it for the first time tonight. It's recommended for 9 and above and he agreed with that assessment. We are taking my 8 yo nephew since my parents saw it in November and said, along with my sister (his mom) that it would be fine for him. We're leaving our 7 yo with friends.

SO GOOD!!!!!!@#$%^%$#@$%^&^%$# It was REALLY GOOD! GOGO if you are able!!!!

And, we ended up making it a date-night (they had childcare available! ). And, HOLY COW am I glad we did! The first 10 seconds would've thrown EVERYONE into an uncontrolled frenzy of terrified TEARS! There was A LOT of pretty INTENSE DEVIL scenes on a big screen.

There were several 7 & 8 yo there and they were completely FINE and REALLY enjoyed it!!!   But....they all had older brothers and sisters and are used to "that".

Glad to get the recommendation - though you seem to have held back on your enthusiasm...

We are definitely planning on going here - it will be here in May.   And we'll take everyone - even the youngest since he does have older brothers and sister, and is used to "that"..

Oh I was hoping it would come here. His sister lives here but I guess we are not big enough for a tour It would've perfect since we just finished reading the Vision book about the Curé of Ars.
