Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are making a remembrance book about my husband's grandmother who passed away last week at 101. My children are heart-broken over the loss of their Grammie.

She was extremely devoted to St. Therese so I thought we would study her life and talk about the ways these two women were similar and why Grammie was so devoted to this particular saint. We'll add this study to our book about Grammie.

I want to use materials like books, websites and especially a coloring book or video. We have a wonderful Carmelite gift shop locally but most of their resources are for adults. My boys are 10, 6 and 4.

Also, has anyone made a scrapbook like this for their children when a loved one has passed? If so I would be very grateful to hear about how you did it.

Thank you for any suggestions.

What a wonderful idea. My girls are big St. Therese fans also. I bought a coloring book, but I can't remember where I got it. But the front of the coloring book says St. Bonaventure Publications. Sorry if I think of where I got it I will let you know. Check out CHC and see if they have anything also. And St. Lukes production is the one who put out the movie of St. Theresa a year ago. I don't know if they have released it on DVD yet, but they have a CD from the movie that my girls enjoy. Good luck with your project and what a special way to remember a special Grammie.

P.S. Oh Wow, Elizabeth just posted a link that the DVD is out now! Thanks Elizabeth.

Thank you Patty and Jackie for your ideas and encouragment.

I found a coloring book! URL=http://www.tanbooks.com/index.php/page/shop:flypage/prod uct_id/166 (Sorry ~ I am still working out how to paste links .)

I also ordered the Vision biography St. Therese and the Roses for my oldest.

Today was Grammie's funeral and St. Therese was such a big part of the day ... I feel very inspired to follow through with this project.

The other day I bought a little pink flower candle from the craft store. I think it might be nice to light and float it in a bowl of water while we talk about Grammie and begin her book.
