Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone belong to this organization? Or know anything about it?

Paula, we have it here in our parish. They meet monthly, for lunches or teas. Generally, it is a service organization. They do a lot here, any event requiring food, offer bible studies, personal service when it's possible (meals for new moms, etc), they have a scholarship fund for girls in the parish for college. While all the women of the parish are considered members, it's a handful that do most of the work (naturally).

I think it's a midwest, western group. I had not heard of it back east.

The Catholic Culture website has a database of reviews of various Catholic organizations that have a web presence. It's pretty good place to go and find out more about an organization if they have been reviewed by them. It looks at the resources that website offers so doesn't necessarily get into the organization itself, but just knowing what kind of resources an organization promotes or aligns with can give insight. I found that National Council of Catholic Women has been reviewed there. Hope that is helpful.
