Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would like to add a book to my personal library that sets out ideas for learning about and celebrating Our Mother. I have two choices so far (although I'm willing to consider others) but can only purchase one right now. Does anyone have any thoughts on the following 2 books? Which one would you choose and why?

Mondays with Mary by Meredith Henning

or

Marian Devotions in the Domestic Church by Peter and Catherine Fournier

I don't know either of those books.. but Catherine Fournier has a website so maybe a lot of her ideas would be on there and you could get the other and have the good ideas from both?

I have Meredith's book and we are loving it. It is such a nice combination of prayers, meditations, devotional activities, and recipes, too. You easily make it more or less complicated. Unfortunately, it seems the printer forgot the page which listed the teas in chronological order, but in this thread Meredith has posted a link to get the chart that lists everything chronologically. There is also a very nice, detailed summary of what's in the book by SuzanneG.
We also have some of the Fournier books, which have many good ideas as well, but I don't they are quite as easy to implement (for me, that is).
I will say that if I am able to stick with it, and finding it very easy, yet inspiring, that is a great thing! The younger children are clearly growing in their love for Mary as we go through this book.

Waverly, here is a link to my book andmy blog (Sweetness and Light), please let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to share.

I am so grateful that the book has been beneficial for so many, and I am indebted to all here who have been able to use it! May Our Lady always be at your side.

Waverly~ in case you haven't seen it yet, on the right side bar of Meredith's blog are a couple reviews with explanations of the the book and what's in it...maybe that'll help see how it's set up, what's in it.

And, OF COURSE, we are just a SMIDGE biased here .....cuz we love you-know-who and her work quite a bit
