I caught this blog post by Jeffrey Tucker: Minimum Repetoire for Children

This is a great list of Catholic chant and hymns. I'm not familiar with all on this list (names might be the tunes but not the words we sing). I'm not fond of all the new hymns, but I thought I'd share this list as a great basis to plan music for your liturgical year in the home.

For chant sources, be sure to check out the Parish Book of Chant. If you have to have one hymnal /chant book for use in the home, I recommend this one. You can preview most of it from this link. It's a fabulous and not too costly chant resource.
