Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A friend passed on a copy of the most beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet song about a year ago. She got it from her sister who has a student at FUS, but her sister didn't know where it came from. We'd like to buy a copy--but countless internet searches have come up with nothing. Today I FINALLY found it--but still have no clue where it came from. Does anyone recognize this? (On the copy we have the first track is the spoken prayer at the beginning of the chaplet.)

link where I found it posted

Cindy Kelly gave me this song just before bedrest began for me. It was truly providential. This is the only song that could calm Karoline when we were weaning her. It played in our house over and over again, every day last fall from noon until about four o'clock.

I'll ask Cindy to chime in.

This is the same song that is played on EWTN during the Divine Mercy Chaplet on TV. I would think that you could get the info from EWTN.

Oh thank you!!!

We don't have EWTN so I haven't heard it on there, but I saw the CD, but nowhere can you listen to samples from the CD to know if it's the right version. That's for confirming that this CD has the right version!

Here is the link to purchase the song you are looking for. It's a wonderful version. I've been listening to it for a year now and am always moved by its beauty.

This version of the Chaplet was done by a lady who had discovered the Divine Mercy chaplet when she was hurting from the grief over abortions she'd had in her past. The chaplet so inspired her healing that she wrote the music for this version. The story is on the video, which you can purchase from EWTN.

I have a deep fondness for this version, because of it's beauty, but also because of my grandfather. He had a great devotion to the Divine Mercy in the last few years of his life, especially when he was suffering from alzheimer's. The chaplet made what could have been such a difficult time in all our lives bearable, even beautiful. All we had to do when he was out of sorts was play this video, and he would calm right down, and had an unearthly peace about him. We played it often in his last days, when he was suffering so, and it meant so much to him. It made the days surrounding his passing so beautiful, that is the only way I can describe it. He died at 3 o'clock, his favorite hour!

Thanks for the reminder of this version of the chaplet, I'm going to have to get this video out. Don't forget, the Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday!

Blessings,
Pilgrim
