Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know many of us were looking for reasonably priced beeswax candles and I found some!

A set of 4 beeswax taper candles for use during Advent (3 purple and 1 pink) can be purchased from Living Bread for $10 for the set. They are beautiful. They also have white and off-white beeswax tapers for $5.50 each and beeswax pillar candles (I forgot to check the price).

Living Bread is a family owned Catholic gift store in Minnesota. The information for Living Bread is as follows:

Living Bread
488 Hamline Avenue South
St. Paul, MN 55116
651-698-5200
www.living-bread.com

The candles are not on the web site so you may want to call.

Hope this helps someone. I purchased 2 sets of the Advent candles and several white tapers.

Peace,

Waverley

Waverley, Thanks for the information! Are these solid tapers, and how tall?

I'm so glad you shared your resource!

Jenn,

The candles in the Advent candle set are solid tapers 10" tall. The off-white and white tapers come in both 10" and 12".    They are molded to look like a hand-dipped candle (plain base and top) as opposed to looking like a colonial style candle. They are not the honey-comb rolled candles.

The advent colors are very nice - not too bright but not weak in color either.

Hope this helps.
