Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'd love a Catholic Mosaic style list of Catholic television shows and movies for children - living movies, if you will. Movies about the saints, especially. I'm really picky about the quality of kids' TV and movies - so many of them are just not good art, if you know what I mean. Is there such a list? If not, which movies would you include on such a list?

A list would be great...I'd add The Miracle of Marcelino...I'd love to see such a list as I would like to start a regular family movie night for children.

Well, two popular ones we watched and are looking to buy are Song of Berndadette and The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima. Both were very enjoyable on many levels, for me and our 4 year old.

It's not a Catholic movie, but my kids and I really love the version of "The Secret Garden" starring Maggie Smith. It's a beautiful film, and does a lot to awaken kids' sense of wonder at the natural world.
