I'd like to have my dc do an apologetics notebook this year, but I'm having trouble coming up with ideas as far as what to include. Besides the Friendly Defender Cards, does anyone have suggestions for me? I'd like to gear it mainly to my 11yod--the focus for the youngers will be the FD Cards.

What about something like "Where is that in the Bible" by Patrick Madrid. I find it quite helpful for myself because it let's me address common midconceptions with the Bible.

We're planning to do this too, and we're going to use various resources, but the one we're using through this year is The Beginning Apologetics Series You can also buy these seperately, one at a time: Beginner's Apologetics Series by volume They have a Study guide too that's included with the set, but is available seperately.
I often listen to *Catholic Answers*, a Catholic Apologetics show, which is excellent. You can listen to past shows on your computer, and download them as well. Tim Staples is my favorite for simple, understandable, clear explanations given in a charitable way. He's excellent! Steven Ray is also very good. They're all good, but these are my favs.  You can hear that show here:
Catholic Answers Show YOu can move the arrow to any month, and see the topics on the calendar as well. Some are general, and some are more topic related. You just move your mouse over that day, and click on the LISTEN link.
One resource I'm hoping to buy, not because it's a specific Apologetics resource, but because I think it'll help us in our study of our Faith, so our kids can understand WHY we believe what we believe, the core to Apologetics is Why Do Catholics Do That? by Kevin Orlin Johnson.
So many resources, so little time. But I think Apologetics is SO important, and something our family needs to do continually. I very much like the idea of a notebook. I have been planning a Religion Notebook for years, separated with these dividers: Scripture, Catechism, Saints and Holy Ones, Apologetics, and Prayer. I think this will be the year, and this will be priority. We can put in beautiful pictures, etc.
I hope this helps some. I'm thinking as I type, so I'm sure my thoughts aren't very clear. I hope there's some idea that may help, if I think of anything else, I'll post more, and will be back to check everyone else's wisdom!

Catholic Verse Finder
It was available for free on the internest in a PDF, but I can't find it. I have this tucked into my Bible. I've also seen it for sale, laminated, in the Catholic bookstore.
ETA: One of the reviews at Amazon expressed disappointment that the laminated copy didn't fit into his Bible. He folded it and made it work.
If you decided to buy it, you could take the laminated sheet, make a copy of it, and fold the copy in a Bible. Put the laminated one somewhere else (a binder?)
