Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Where do you store the Baptismal candles that each child has? I thought I heard to store them in the freezer, but it could have been something else. I want to be sure that they aren't melted by the time we decide to take them out.

Thanks!

Each of my children have a special keepsake box with a lid, and into it goes anything meaningful for them..the wrist bracelet they wore at the hospital after they were born, cards from special relatives, and their baptismal candles etc. etc. I keep these boxes on a high shelf in a closet. They are accesible enough that I can take out a baptismal candle for their Baptismal days (and put it right back after we're done,) but not too accessible for small hands to destroy !

Then again, Baptismal candles are not in danger of melting in there. They would be more endangered in my freezer, where any manner of frozen food is likely to crush or crack them !

Ours (including mine & dc's) are all in a chest in my bedroom, with assorted other "memory" stuff. My mom kept mine in a similar chest until I got married & moved out, and it was fine. We're in MI, so I guess it just doesn't get hot enough to melt them.

I agree with Mary - my freezer is a disaster.

I store mine the same way Mary does. In their special memory box (a photo box from a craft store that I decorated with paint and put their full name and birth info. on). And I keep them in their bedrooms on a high shelf. I've done it since my oldest dd was baptized and she's 12 now and her candle is just fine.
