Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been following the threads on the Liturgigal Year intently for the last year or so. It has all flowed past my eyes and into my imagination...and overwhelmed me.

I had to have some organization to it. So, for my own purposes, I put it on the computer. http://www.highlanddove.org/liturgical/index.html What I'm writing about is permission to use some of the pictures from your blogs to coorespond to your ideas. I would use them mainly as thumbnails with a link to your blog.

I will only use images from people who give me permission and only on this site for this purpose. Please reply with your blog link and let me know if I can "Yes" or can't "no" put some of the pictures of your projects on this website.

Jenn!!! That is fantastic work! So thorough, I just love it.

BTW, just a small comment, as my blog has moved from blogspirit to wordpress, so it's now http://familyfeastandferia.wordpress.com

Jenn

Fantastic, someone pulling it all together for me

You have my permission for what it's worth. Not a great deal on my blog like these other fantastic ladies.

Umm, I'm sorry, but no, you do not have permission. I didn't notice that in your original post. I just saw the typo and was commenting on that.

While I LOVE what you have done in organizing for yourself, you're entering into "dangerous" waters in making it public. All the ideas and pictures on people's blogs are copyright material. It's their own very hard work. If you start posting someone else's pictures, even with permission, it starts down a slippery slope. Someone else sees the pictures, pastes them on their site, and so on.

And some of the information you've listed on your site are direct quotes from other people, but sometimes that isn't clear or credit isn't given.

If this is going to be a public site, it would probably be better to label the links and quotes (such as 4Real thread, or blog name) to give proper credit. Add pictures of the saints or things to sort the links.

While the ladies here at 4Real are pretty generous sharing the ideas, it's still nice to be able to have some control and claim over their hard work.

I won't answer for everyone, but just wanted to give a heads' up on why it might be problematic.

If this is your very first blog, Jennthmg, you might check out a book like Blogging for Dummies from the library. It covers the etiquette of blogging fairly thoroughly.

Jenn, that is what I had in mind...I just haven't gotten it all together, yet.

Any other suggestions are appreciated!

Great Idea!
Feel free to link to my blog, although I think my only idea worth sharing is the ornaments we made for each monthly devotion:

Thanks for this info! I have no clue when it comes to blogging etiquette.    I'll have to put that one on my list.

I'm pretty fond of the Dummies or Idiots series. Just my speed some mornings!
