Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This suggestion came to me through a prayer email group. This was suggested to our "moderator" (so to speak) by a member who was given the suggestion by her spiritual director!

It sounds like a great idea...I already write out what I have to do the next day, and this would be easy to add to it.

Here is her quote:

[my friends] ... make a list each evening anticipating the ordinary and sometimes unusual activities, labors and even hardships of the next day, then they write next to it the name of someone for whom they will offer that labor.
Since she told me about this I have been doing it and it's an amazingly beautiful experience. First, it brings to mind in a special way those we wish to remember. Second, I've appreciated the mindfulness of selecting a particular activity for a particular person or intention. Third, approaching an activity that has been dedicated for one's specific intention brings an enthusiastic and peace-filled energy to the execution of that act. I love that! Finally, I am consoled that the actions are credited to my specific intentions even if I neglect in the hustle to remind Our Lord of this fact. Many of you are perhaps, like me, a dedicated reciter of the Morning Offering, which covers everything in a general way ~ and I am finding that this purposiveness is a very helpful addition.
[end quote]

I look forward to implementing this and I wanted to share this in case others might like this idea too!
