Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ok, I have put the first album in my basket at Our Father's House. Does anyone know what Mass pieces I'll need for this first album? I see they have a Mass kit, monstrance, ciborum and linens. I don't need all of that right away, do I? Can someone give me an idea of when we will need what?

Michelle I don't know the answer to your question-- I don't have the albums. However, since no one else has jumped in... I'll tell you that I have the Mass kit which comes with a booklet of three Presentations that I hear are the first presentations in her album..

We've done all the presentations with JUST the Mass kit and the linens. (No ciborium, monstrance...) We did buy a box at ACMoore that we spray painted gold and glued on a wooden cross applique to act as our tabernacle.

We plan to add the ciborium this summer.

HTH -- also there's a lot more posts about her albums etc. under the "Montessori" forum

Michelle,
I'm not sure what you mean bt dollhouse size, but we have the Mass kit from Our Father's House and just to give you an idea of size, the cup is about 5 inches tall, finger bowl and paten about 3 1/2", the candle holders hold votive sized candles. Hope that helps.

Hmmm....No... let me measure... the paten is 3 1/4" diameter and the chalice is 4 1/2" tall.

So just mini-size. Here are some pictures of my boys using the Mass kit:

pictures here

However, those pictures don't have the altar that we currenly use... and unfortunately, I don't have any FINISHED pictures of the altar that is about 18"/20" high and has a top that is 20" wide and 12" deep. Here it is in the rough, but it since has been stained and the drawers hold the entire Mass kit:

Michelle~
The first few presentations DO use the Mass Kit. BUT, that doesn't mean you HAVE to start there. If you don't want to purchase the Mass kit right now, there are many other presentations that you can do.

You don't HAVE to go "in order". They are grouped according to the Liturgical year....ie: baptism presentaions during Easter, etc. But, we just did the Good Shepherd Presentaion (which is a Lent presentation) a couple weeks ago.

Here are some pictures from a couple of our presentations....scroll down to the the Mass Kit.

Some of the sizes are list on this page at Our Father's House. They aren't doll house size but they are miniature.

If you (or anyone else) wants to be able to see them before deciding to buy, I will have OFH miniature mass kits as well as Moira's albums at the Minneapolis/St. Paul (June 1 &2 ), Lansing Michigan (June 15 & 16), Baltimore Maryland (June 29 & 30) conferences as well as the upcoming 4 real conference in August.

Ok, I have the 3-6 album in front of me. Here is what you need for each presentation.

Altar work 1: altar table, altar cloth, pair of candleholders and white candles, stand-up crucifix, candlesnuffer, and small plate (for snuffer to set on).
Altar work 2: same as above plus corporal, small chalice, paten.
Altar work 3:same as both above plus surface for credence table, two cruets, finger bowl, finger towel.

That's it for the 3-6 album. The mini mass kit comes with all that and more. I really like the linen set as well.

I have to second everything that Theresa said here already and what Suzanne mentioned. The Mass Kit comes with it's *own* presentation booklet and you definately don't have to start at the beginning of the book.

We started with the Good Shepherd presentation in the 3-6 Album, but had already done the first Mass Kit presentation from the separate booklet. Use it to best suit your family and particular season and have fun, it's such a rich and beautiful program!!

Sorry I missed this one, I should have moved it to Montessori and CGS. Blessings!
