Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here are some things my son received...books about his Confirmation patron saint (Padre Pio)...a Bible...bicycling accessories (his new sport)...money...George Weigel's book, Letters to a Young Catholic (very good, I read it!)...

Does this help?

Natalia,
Be comforted. Girls are so easy to shop for.

I have to ditto this!!! I bought it for two graduates last year and for a graduate this year. It's a very good read (I enjoyed it) and makes an excellent gift.

My dd confirmed yesterday. She got two religious books, a Bible, a rosary, a prayer bracelet, some money, a figure of the Praying Hands with a verse on it, a bookmark with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit on the little stones dangling from the end of it, a necklace with the circle of faith around it and the Holy Spirit as a dove descending inside of it, and another necklace with a circular pendant that has the word *Faith* inscribed inside it.

The only thing she didn't get was a medal of her patron saint. I didn't buy one because I figured someone was going to show up with it. Doesn't that always happen? Always has in our family. We end up with two or three medals. Didn't happen this time.

Luckily her b-day is coming up so I'll get one then.

Oh, and her little sisters made her the sweetest little May Day nosegay baskets which you'll have to scroll down to see. They were so excited to present them to her at the reception.

The best gift I received on my confirmation (aside from the sacrament itself of course) was a chastity/purity ring from my mom. I wore it until the day I exchanged it for the wedding ring from my husband.

Cay,
I loved the idea of the baskets/cones. I think I am going to make one of her. Thanks for the idea.
