Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to order the Nine-Note Recorder from Penny Gardner's website. I know nothing about music and do not play any instruments. How do I know whether or not I want the saprano or the alto?

Thanks!

Jennifer

Jennifer,

I'm not familiar with the Nine-Note method, but when I tried teaching myself recorder years ago, Alto is a larger one than Soprano, and the finger spread to cover the holes for notes is a little harder than the soprano recorder. Perhaps someone has better input.

Alto plays a bit lower notes than soprano, if you want to know sound difference.

Hi Jennifer,

I just received the Nine-Note book and it looks great! We will start it soon and I will let you know how it goes. We are using soprano recorders.

Thanks, ladies! I now have a copy of Nine Note for soprano. Where did you get your recorders from?

We just got decent recorders locally, but I believe that Penny's website recommends some really nice recorders. Ours are fine for us at this point. recorders
