Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I saw this on their website and it was intriguing. Has anyone used this? My kids love picture study and we usually do it once a week. Is there any reason why this would be a better option? I do like that picture study is quick and painless.      This just looks really neat. Any opinions?

I have them and have used them. I like them. The projects aren't very difficult. My kids enjoy them. They try really hard to incorporate Christian teaching into each topic. We have been able to complete some of the projects in one art "period".

The DVDs are a little dated, but still well done. Sacred Heart Books and Gifts has them a little cheaper Christian Heritage Art
The individual DVDs are $21.70 there instead of the $24.95.

Hope this helps.

We have it and love it too.

They schedule 3 sessions for each project but that is for schools that have a short art class and a full room of kids. :) The longest we have had to wait is for layers of paint to dry - that sort of thing. So we do go through it faster here as well. I have used all the levels at one time or another with various children. My son is on level 4 right now - and enjoys it.

Definitely the video production is older - it is also only photographs and still images - no movement. But it gets to the point and we use it as a jumping point to pull in other resources of interest. Besides, my son loves history anyway ;) He's been slowly making a timeline that notes the time period for each project. This is not a suggested activity in the program, but I think it should be ;)
