Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just found this opportunity:

Snail Mail My Email

Quote:
Snail Mail My Email is a month-long (July 15 - August 15), interactive community art project which seeks to both share the warm-fuzzy feeling of receiving a personalized letter as well as inspire people to send their own snail mail. Anyone with internet access can partake by simply sending an email, after which the very same message will be handwritten and physically mailed to the chosen recipient anywhere in the world, completely free of charge.

In a culture overrun with instant gratification and on-demand services, this project cultivates appreciation for the lost art of letter writing.

The examples are inspiring!

Love,

I can't wait to sit down and look at these examples later tonight! I just thought I'd quickly add how lovely it is to send and receive a hand-written letter. About 6 months ago, my sister and I committed to regularly write each other a handwritten letter. It's a little intimidating at first...and at first our letters read like a stream of conscious expression! But, slowly they are becoming treasured expressions! We love choosing beautiful paper and smooth writing pens....and embellishing with Japanese tape for a little flourish! Anyway, there is something simply sweet and decidedly thoughtful about taking the time to pen a handwritten letter...so I wanted to come add my thoughts when I saw your post, Angie! I'm eager to read through the examples later tonight when I have quiet time!
