Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My oldest dd is now in the senior group of our local childrens' choir.

This June, if all goes well (and we save enough pennies), we will both be traveling to New Orleans!!! I am so excited - their choir will be the featured choir at the Cresent City Choral Festival. And...they will be singing in the St. Louis Cathedral!!

Visiting the French quarter of New Orleans has always been on my top ten list of places I'd love to visit!

Any tips from anyone who has been there would be great. I have no idea how much spending money to bring. We will have to pay for 5 lunches and 3 dinners. Any thoughts???

Donna--I grew in New Orleans and miss it a lot. I have a lot of suggestions for you. I will send you a long PM later.

My dh and I spent a Thanksgiving in New Orleans before we had children. We had a wonderful time although the weather was a bit rainy. We spent hours at Cafe du Monde and the French Market. Our B&B was in the French Quarter and we had a lovely small patio area to dine in as well. We so enjoyed it! I wish I could give you an idea of prices, but this was years ago ... but you will love it!
