Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd (5) & I are exploring watercolour & we have been discussing art journals. My dd is interested in doing a travelling journal. Has anyone here any experience of these? Would anyone like to participate in one with us? (please bear in mind that we are in the UK) Anyone have any good books on the topic to reccomend?
Thank you in advance!
Lynn

Art journals yes... My sister back home did a travelling journal with a bear who actually went travelling with the journal and people drew/wrote in it.
If you like you might try making it a little easier on people, and set up a flickr group for it , where people can illustrate their travels and post it online to share.

Now back to the art journal:

I have a post on my blog under the tag 'art' where I link to several art blogs. My challenge this year is to do a daily drawing and several posters on here want to join in . Flickr has several groups (please pre-screen as many do life drawings), you can find them by clicking on a picture and looking at the links on the side where they say 'set' or 'pool'. Set is individual :

Visual Journal Pool

Oh I forgot to mention, back home there you have a few resources for yourself... but check out this one (my favourite). He actually links to other blogs and stuff
Richard Bell's Nature Diary

At the top are links to past and present entries. He has LOADS of lovely books I'd get if I were still in England

And one more thing... a travel notebook can JUST be about your town. If you like, you do one of yours and I'll do one of my home state so you can see what it is like
