Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know what program options are available for those of us who want to begin music instruction at home?

I've played several instruments, including woodwind and brass and a little piano through my middle and high school years (french horn was my constant) but haven't picked up an instrument since (no extra $). As I'm doing music appreciation with the kids and dh is asking me, "Now what's that (instrument) I'm hearing?" I'm absolutely longing to pick something ...ANYTHING... up again. My mom has offered her piano (needs some work done but I think we can handle it) and I've decided to teach the kids some beginning music theory, but it's been a while and I'd like to have a pre-packaged home instruction program to help guide me.

I know the Duggars (on The Learning Channel program) do a home instruction program for strings?? Anybody know what it's called??

My aim is to give my kids a chance to develop basic skills at a young age (along with appreciation for the masters) and then move on to private lessons when they are a little older...maybe someone who will teach them all at one time??

I've ordered the Kinderbach free demo DVD but I've heard of other programs that are out there. Now I wish I had written their names down!

Any suggestions/advice? Thank you!

I would love to hear some replies as well. Money for lessons is tight here, and my kids are quite musical.
