Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does the NGA have a catalog? I've wondered how one would go about ordering from the National Gallery without knowing exactly what he/she wants to buy.

Updated to spell out National Gallery of Art--hoping to get an answer.

Hmmm...why the National Gallery of Art in particular? and not places like Art.com on the internet? Sometime in the near future I too want to find some quality art prints and wonder about the quality of the prints offered at all the online shops. Does anyone have a recommmendation? That being said, here's a link to the Delaware Art Museum's shop. You can buy a select few prints from their collections (Again, I cannot attest to the quality of the prints because I have not ordered anything from them, yet). I saw the amazing Pre-Raphaelite collection on loan at the St. Louis Art Museum. For a classical/religious theme check out Edward Burnes-Jones "The Prioress' Tale".

I buy coffee table books at used book stores for a couple of bucks, cut them apart, laminate the art and voila! Art prints for a fraction of the cost of ordering online. We have a huge treasure of art by collecting this way!

The NGA is recommended in Elizabeth's "Real Learning" book, but several of us have tried to order from them with no luck.

I am also collecting used art books, plus last week at Walmart in the frames section I saw a bunch of prints- $1 for small ones and $3 for large (maybe 11x15?) There were some by famous artists in there. I also keep an eye out for calendars with artists.

Do you mean ordering their educational materials that you take on loan or items to buy, there is a difference! WE have enjoyed art on loan in teacher packs in the past and been VERY happy with it, it's just like a library! And you get to keep them a really long time

Blessings!

Yes- you can order their loan catalog, and there is a great collection to chose from.
