For those of you who have used TOG, did you find anything about it to be anti-Catholic? Does it lean towards a new-earth viewpoint?

We are looking for something for my Middle School aged son and my husband has certain things he wants (and doesn't!) in a history curriculum.

I have not got any specifics - but I researched TOG thoroughly a few years ago - and my general consensus was that it was way too reformed and too much work to do all the substitutions, use a Catholic spine etc.

A lot of people are attracted by its multi-level, and "several disciplines" aspect - and if this is what attracts you, Connecting with History would be a really good Catholic program.

If you want to check out TOG, I believe that there is a Catholic TOG yahoo group - not sure of details.

I have not used TOG - but I have used and enjoyed Sonlight - and I believe that this is much less "reformed" and it is easier to avoid anti-Catholic bias. There is a very active Catholic Sonlight group with schedules for substitutions etc.

Thanks! I did some digging and reached pretty much the same conclusion...taking TOG off my "possible" list. Going to check out your recommendation.
