Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi ladies,

Anyone have experience with this program? I like that it's entirely oral/aural--I've been looking for a non-DVD oral program for my two oldest (and me) for next year. I know it is usually geared toward adults, but I don't think my children (1st graders) will mind that it's not meant for kids--they are very eager learners and aren't looking for anything flashy or "fun." We would be doing short (10 minutes maybe?) daily lessons, working through the Italian series, and our library has all the CDs, so there would be no financial outlay. Just wondering if anyone has any pros/cons of this program or any personal experience to share.

Thanks!

I used Pimsleur to learn some basic Dutch and wasn't all that impressed, but given that you can use the CDs for free, I think you should try it and see how it works for you.

I really considered it for French lessons. I decided not to get it for this first term because I have enough, but I may re-evaluate at a later term. Penny Gardner highly recommends the programs.

If you have a Nook, Barnes and Noble had a few free lessons for Pimsleur Spanish available for download. I don't know if that's still true or not.
