Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My ds12 is loving Jim Weiss' reading of SOTW. Is there an American history program on CD that any knows of? It is so nice to feel like something is working well.

We have this set from Nest Learning and everyone in the family really enjoys them. We bought them years ago on audiotape and we've definitely gotten our money's worth out of them. The company that produces them is Protestant, but there is nothing anti-Catholic in the Living Principles set. When the set first came out, they used the Lord Baltimore story to advertise to Catholics. You can listen to samples on the website and I see they also have study guides available for each download. I haven't seen those, so I have no idea what they are like. We had to buy the entire tape set when we got ours, but now they can be purchased and downloaded separately. You might try the Lord Baltimore one and see if your son likes it and if so, you can buy a few at a time.

My boys also love Jim Weiss's SOTW - actually they love anything by him. We met him a few years ago when we were living in Alaska and when our oldest son got married in Charlottesville ( where Jim lives) my little boys wanted to invite him to the wedding

Blessings,
Kym
