Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone use this book ? If so, how do you use it? I've had it for several years and have never been able to incorporate it into our day. I'd be using it for my 13yo son.

I welcome any ideas !!!

Thanks !!!

I used to use it when now 16 yos was in 7 and 8 grade becuase it was in the DYOCC book as a suggested title. He liked it -- but he's my one that's been in "real" school the most. It did help him learnt he continents and stuff.

I still have it on the shelf and just can't seem to part with it....

Mary,
Where in the book did you begin? I find it a little confusing. Did you just work your way through....or did you pick and choose different chapters?

If I remember rightly (that's Southern for "I think" ) we just followed Berquist's syllabus on this one (the ones that are available from Emmanuel Books. We worked out way through the chapter on Geography for Middle School -- it went pretty well and Joe (16) still remembers doing this. I also remember him using it in 8th and 9th to map the ancient world.

Hope this helps -- as each day goes by my memory seems to get fuzzier and fuzzier.
