Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am trying to find a good Atlas of the U.S. for dd to do research. I keep checking out ones from the library that are poorly layed out, or incomplete.

Please share your favorite one with me!

Thankyou!

Christy

We have the National Geographic United States Atlas for Young Explorers. It's the oversized large hardcover which we like for an atlas.
It's a 2 page spread for each state with a sidebar with the basic state info and pic of the state bird, flower and flag.

Our first atlas we bought was the Rand McNally Children's Atlas of the United States (1989 printing)
and we still use this too. It has a historical/informational narrative on each state that is nice. It has the pic of the state and the key has pics of the state bird, tree, flower, and flag. It also has the basic facts of the state.

This one was good up until just recently we started using the bigger atlas just to look up more cities. My son is 8.5yrs and he likes the bigger state maps/pictures now.

I think that Nat'l Geo looks pretty good! I will see if our library has it.

Warmly,
