Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Jr. High Algebra teacher would occaisionally give us a sheet of coordinates to place on a graph; when they were correctly graphed and then connected they formed a picture. Does anyone know of a web site where I might find such a thing?

Thanks.

Peace,
Nancy

I'm sorry, but I don't know of a website. I think I searched for the same thing last year. That's when I found and ordered a book from bookcloseouts called Plotting Points by Instructional Fair. On the cover it says for grades 2 to 4. I think I probably paid about $1.50 or so when they had a back-to-school promo going on.

There is another program of workbooks that is out of print (sorry!) that I read about in a book called How to Get Your Child Off the Refrigerator and onto Learning. Maybe someone here knows the name of these books or a website with some free printables.

Hope that helps!

Nancy, I did some of this with my son last year.

Here's an ice cream sundae

Here's an umbrella

Somewhere out there is a pumpkin one as well, I just couldn't find it.

BTW, these are pdf files.

Enjoy!

Do you have the game Battleship? My kids love it (esp the boys) and you call out coordinates for sinking your opponents ships. It is a very, very painless way to learn/ practice with coordinate graphing.
