Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay, thinking ahead here for my daughter. Yes, I know she's only 23 months but I love to plan! And, Lord willing, there will be more to plan for.

When I started teaching my boys I used and loved FIAR and didn't even know about CHC. Now that I know about them, I'm finding I like so many things in their catalog for all grades.

So, pro's and con's between the two anyone?

Thanks!

I'm using a combination of both. Actually, we are just doing Before FIAR at the moment because things around here have gotten pretty stressful, but am hoping to get back to doing both soon.

I agree with those who like to use whatever porgram suits at the time. We use CHC for religion and grammar, FIAR, History Links (for my older ones, this wouldn't be for your daughter), and the 4Reallearning list as it suits us.

You could start math now with Kids Can! Math Play, if you need to look at something (as I occasionally do) to get ideas to work in math with littlies.

They are both resources that will likely come in handy down the line. For CHC, I'm assuming that you're looking at the lesson plans for Preschool/Kindergarten? They are both worthwhile to have around to give you ideas when it works for your schedule and the kids that you're aiming for. I find that the more kids I have, the less I tend to get to with the youngers. It's nice to have these on the shelf to give me some ideas for one-on-one with the babies.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Utilizing both to fit our needs.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Still trying to figure out how in the world to do school with a toddler! And I only have 3 dc! You all amaze me!!
