Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Let me expand on the previous post. I asked my daughter to type up a post and I expected to edit it before posting. I guess I didn't communicate that well with her. I apologize for that.

Anyway, we were hoping some of you may have suggestions for websites geared for girls (somewhat like the American Girl website) that are wholesome and fun.

My dd came to me in tears wishing she could visit the American Girls website. She loves the games and quizzes on it but doesn't want to support AG considering the controversy Elizabeth touched on a while back concerning AG.

So with that said, any recommendations would be appreciated.

What is going on with AG? I must have missed something.

Michelle, are you referring to this issue?

If so, it seems to have been resolved: More about American Girls.

I apologize if there's something else going on or if I've only gotten part of a story. We are an all boy household, so I'm sort of out of the doll loop!

Janette, I'd say you are pretty on top of the issue for being an all boy household - . Yes, this particular issue and boycottt were resolved last year. Still not everyone is totally happy with everything AG - they are very much a part of the secular world and reflect that. We still find them to be a great source of enjoyment for our dd.

Thanks Janette.
Yes, that was the issue I was talking about. I'm glad they terminated their campaign. It's too bad they still contributed 200,000 dollars to Girls Inc.

I'm still not sure how I feel about supporting their company. Borrowing books from the library seems alright if previewed first. I'll need to preview their website again as well. Dd will be pleased.
