In my reading, I am thinking (maybe wrongly) that Montessori is an environment, CM is a philosophy and unit study is an approach? And real learning is all of the above. And, all of these can work together and should work together?
Or is that too easy? Is your answer, "Keep Reading!"

Montessori is definitely a method, maybe even a system. CM is a method as well. They both place importance on atmosphere/environment. Real Learning is not a method or a system--it's looser than that. It certianly can incorporate all of those. It's a learning lifestyle, adapted specifically for your family in answer to God's call. And definitely keep reading, because the more you know about the possibilities, the better you are able to tailor.

Elizabeth,
Do you incorporate Montessori in your home? I know you have posted about CGS. Is that the only time you "use" Montessori?
Also (anyone) can & do all of the above work together?

I think they can all go together - if it suits the family then, imo, almost anything can work. 
If we like an idea from here and an idea from there, it seems fine to me to tweak these and use them in our family's homeschool and lifestyle. It may not be a purist approach but it is a family centred, individualized approach.
For example, we find that many of CM's ideas resonate with us. We use them in our Catholic home. But I also like literature based rabbit trails - I love literature and enjoy it when our whole family or one or two children get passionate about an idea. So, we enjoy CM *and* literature based " unit studies".
The two dovetail nicely for us - with a dose of unschooling and, for some dc, a workbook in Maths or for handwriting.

I can see aspects of each of these methods/philosophies/approaches in our homeschool, and others as well. I like to take certain parts of the "pure" methods that fit our learning lifestyle and use them as we see fit. I believe alot of people do that.

We marry a great deal together too...We read living books and make them hands-on with Montessori materials at times...I am very different, but it is what works here.
I love setting up works for the children to explore and discover as well as planting...(or should I say...STREWING) books here and there to start an interest in new things. I read as much as I can about all of the things you mentioned (CM, Reallearning, Montessori, COGS) and I take notes like mad in a spiral bound book I have handy for just the times when inspiration hits and off I go...
I have never met any other homeschooler around me that does remotely close to what I do...but whatever you call it....I LOVE it and so do the children. We have a deeper respect and love for each other in the doing of it! For us it is more of an atmosphere of living and a way of life more than just "doing school"
