Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My youngest is always asking for a break through out our school time. We take a one hour lunch break and typically we school from 9-3 (50% of the time we are done before 30. This is a push to get everything done. I know they need breaks. I encourage them to go outside and run around and they typically will just go to their rooms to play. This is the reason I've stopped giving them breaks because they are even more wild when they come back. I would gladly give a break to run outside to burn off some energy, but not for inside play. Now if they finish up with work before out next activity they get free time, but this is rare. Our schedule is just busy during this season.

How do breaks look like in your home?

Well, when I wanted kids to go and be active, I used it for transitioning from one activity to the next rather than as a "break". We live on a dead end road that's safe enough, I'd send them to run to the end of the road and back. It was simply the next activity (or in my head a transition between two) rather than a "break" to go play.
