Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I hope this is the correct area for this, but anyway....

I have finally succeeded in making a planner for next year that fits my needs! You'd think I"d have done this before, but no..... Next year will be our 20th year of hsing, and I now have the perfect (for me) planner.'

Not to say that Michele's homeschool planner wasn't very nice (very nice indeed), but since we moved to an online family planner, I don't buy general planners anymore. Most school (and homeschool) planners are only 36 weeks long so I have to buy two which annoys me.

Last year I got the Tanglewood Corebook download, but I kept having to alter one page of each week. (English is a foreign language as far as my little guy is concerned, and there is nothing for PE.) Also, the binding I chose didn't work that well for the amount of abuse I put my planners through.

So, this year I have put it all together! I altered the page of the Tanglewood Corebook as needed, I had 55* copies of the pages I wanted made, I made a pretty cover with cardstock and clip art from Nippert Artworks, covered the cardstock with plastic covers, and the bound the ensemble with my (relatively new) binder.

Yes! I love it!

* I know there are only 52 weeks (and a day or two) in a year, but I like to have a few extra pages... just in case someone spills on my planning pages... as has happened. I can then just tear out the mussed pages and rewrite the weeks as necessary.

In Christ,

Hey, that's GREAT!!!

You know, I too much prefer doing my own lesson planner and building it the way it fits our family!!! It works for us...and if it's not working, I make a few changes and start printing pages that work better!!!

AND....I JUST LOVE making pretty scrapbook covers and embellishing my lesson planner notebook (I just use a 3 ring binder)!!! It's custom designed for ME!!

Great job on your success!!

I know what a boost a little thing like that can give the day!

Deborah-

thanks for posting this. I think sometimes we forget to share our successes as well as our concerns.

Well done!
