Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

On a very basic level, I understand the differences in learning styles, but I would like to understand it better so that I can first of all determine my own dc's styles and then use that info to better engage them. I am thinking of buying the book, Discover Your Children's Learning Style Anyone recommend it?

Haven't read it but I had my three oldest take the Mercy Academy Learning Style Testa month again and wished I had taken it years ago. I highly recommend it, very practical and intuitive.

I bought the book after hearing Mariaemma Willis speak at a conference. I think the book is well worth buying (though not as good as actually hearing the author speak ) She has very practical suggestions for teaching each different style learner. It was very enlightening. My girlfriend who went to the conference with me burst into tears at the end of the talk and told me her eyes had been opened and she was going to go home and apologize to her son.

Erin that online test does look interesting but my dc are only 41/2 and 3 so I dont know if it is appropriate for them and I dont think I want to spend the money on it just yet (although I was very tempted to take it myself for fun!!)
Lisa, wow I think your friend's reaction must be the best sales pitch EVER!
Thx for you input ladies!
