Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What direction would you point someone in our what would you suggest for someone with this criteria/history?
Homeschooling and only child 3rd grader.
Used FIAR Vols.1-3 and loved it.
Love Charlotte Mason style of education.
Want more in the history category(am not sure for this age if FIAR is enough for getting a firm understanding of history).
Like the Classical idea but not the regiment, definately need more casual approach.
DEFINATELY Catholic friendly.(Not in tune enough with the faith or history to sort through non-Catholic biases or bashing.)
I guess that will cover it for the most part.
Thanks,

Darlene

Have you looked at RC History I have just purchased it. As I haven't used it yet I couldn't quite tell whether it would fit your bill but I bought it for similar reasons. We have been very casual and I wanted something a little more structured with out stifling us. It is Catholic friendly
