Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello,

If anyone is new to homeschooling the 6 and under crowd, and you have a blog, I would appreciate a link to your blog. I have a 4 yo son and a 19 month old girl and I am just gathering ideas of what to do the next few years.

Thanks!

That description definitely fits me... you're welcome to learn from our mistakes.

My regular blog is below, there's a link to our school blog Our Daily Life and Work on the main page of our regular blog. I took the summer off from our "school" blog, so I've just started posting our lesson plans etc. as school for us is about to begin on the 10th.

But truly I learned a lot from the bloggers who have older kids. They've been there done that!! It would be too hard to list them, but using the blogs of the moderators of the forum is a start!

Hi Divina,

I don't have a blog because I'm boring and not a natural writer but maybe one day (my oldest is 3.5). I have been reading and enjoying your blog quite a bit. Thank you for posting!

Good one, Maryan...."learn from our mistakes"

And, my blog is the PINK/FEMALE version of Maryan's blog!

I also keep random notes about what we do each day at this blog. I haven't posted over the summer, but plan on starting in a month or so.

ETA: My girls are 6.5, 5, 3.5, and 18 months.
HTH,

I'm at The Genial Hearth. I have been putting up my plans for my 3 year old son for this past year—and the reality of what we actually end up doing:-)

My son is younger than yours, but here is the initial post I wrote about our "plans" for this year. If you want to check back in periodically, I can't say how much I'll write about our schooling, but you never know! I, too, have learned a lot from moms with lots of kids. I think Elizabeth's blog has a series on the preschool years as well. It's in her sidebar on the left. I found her posts on the topic really inspiring.

I've been writing a lot about things my 5- and 3yos have done lately at Saint Daniel's.

Feel free to drop by -- we make our share of mistakes, too, but having brought my older children home after 4 years and 1 year in school, respectively, I'm really enjoying my first taste of starting from teh ground up!

Pax,

Sally

I have a K and a 1st grader this year, and I post here Sunshine Academy. It's very very rough -- basically a checklist of what we've done each day that I consider academic.

I'll be writing occasionally about homeschooling, but more about family life in general here.
