Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hey y'all

I just finished reading "Natural Structure" from CHC -- a great book and lots of cross-over between Montessori and CM type learning!

I have a question: the authors mention a music game called "Music Maestro" -- does anyone know where I can find out more about this?

THANKS!

I believe "Music Maestro" was a game made by Aristoplay, but I don't know if they still sell it. I didn't see it at their web site. You might trying asking at the Cathswap yahoo group or at vegsource on the want to buy boards.

God bless,

Patty

I was thinking it was some software we are using, but in checking, we actually have Music Ace. I googled Music Maestro and got lots of hits, but they vary widely. Since I haven't read the book I'm not sure what you're looking for.
I have been wanting to read that book but have been delaying b/c of the price. our library doesn't have it; I guess I should see if ILL can get it.

Karen:

You'll probably have a hard time finding it as it is published by CHC and I'm not sure any public libraries would carry it. It's well-worth the cost (aside from supporting a Catholic homeschooling family who runs CHC) as it is a great overview of how one family "does" Montessori and classical ed in a Catholic homeschool setting. The authors give tips on how to implement from preschool thru high school.....

Oh, I knew CHC carried it but didn't realize they actually published it. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like the price wasn't worth it, and I do like supporting Catholic businesses (I actually just placed 4 book orders the other night - one from Emmanuel, one from CHC, one from Ignatius and one from allcatholicbooks!). I have read several Montessori books from the library so was hesitant to get another but it sounds really good. Thanks for posting.
