Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm so excited! Our 15 year along with the help of his 13 yr old brother are almost done installing a vinyl tile floor in our kitchen. Is this real learning?
The measuring and calculating is awesome. My husband is busy staining our living room and hallway floors so our son said,"Mom, I'll do it." He loves projects and is currently making an electric guitar.

He is in his 2nd and 3rd quarters with Seton and we do only what is absolutely necessary because I think he and all our children learn so much in everyday life.

I don't think i would feel comfortable laying a floor now let alone when I was 15.

Can you tell I'm really excited about my new floor? My mom said our chickens have a better floor in their coop than in our kitchen. And it's true until now!('')

This sounds like my almost 15 year old. He rushes thru his official school work so that he's free to do his projects, doing brake jobs on cars, rebuilding the chicken yard, rewiring lights, rebuilding engines, etc. He gets up on Saturday mornings with his own list of projects!
I started taking pictures of his projects to put in the portfolio that has to be submitted to the school district. How can this not be real learning, right?
