Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How To Question (please let me know where you would like to receive these type of questions...I'm anticipating more from this message board newbie

Is there a way that I can keep track of messages that I have read? For example, if there is a thread with 10 pages and I've read through 5, is there a way to give myself a visual clue that I have read through 5 or do I need to make a note to myself. I appreciate the way Yahoo (at the homepage) will highlight in a different color the messages I have read.

Thanks!

previously-visited links are now a purplish color. (i only did this for the small page number links that appear below a thread name.)

the tricky thing about these threads with multiple pages, tho, is that each page has a max of 10 posts (note to Elizabeth: this is configurable). you may have read through page 5 of a particular thread, but perhaps there were only 8 posts on page 5 at the time. assuming 3 people added replies to that thread, it would now require 6 pages to view, but if you go straight to page 6, you will miss 2 of those 3 new posts and you'd have to go back to page 5 anyway. does that make sense?

Thank you for your patience, Tim. My messages are alternating purplish and green. What am I missing...not in general, mind you ?

the alternating green and purple is intentional, and not related to the links.
