Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Snapping turtle, that is. He was easily 2ft from nose to tail and very prehistoric looking.

And today we're off to the library to check out Minn of the Mississippi which I remember my daddy reading to me.

Thank you for posting on this! We also saw a very large snapping turtle yesterday! I don't think he was quite as large as yours, but I had a bad angle ( on a bridge, looking down 7 feet or so, 10+ screaming-with-excitement-children, and trying to make sure my 1yods didn't fall in after it!) "Pre-historic looking" is a good description! We all said he was... rather unattractive.
I will go pull out "Minn of the Mississippi" for our afternoon read! Thank you!
God Bless,
Stacy in MI
