Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My daughter is looking to take a Chemistry Class next year that uses an Apologia textbook. Anybody have any experience with this?

KathrynTherese,
My oldest used Apologia Chemistry the past two years. He found it very easy to understand and passed it on to his girlfriend when he was finished with it.

KathrynTherese,

My daughter is using it this year in a small class setting. I spoke with the teacher recently. He said he's mostly pleased with the presentation - except for a few places where Dr Wile goes off on non-chemistry tangents - for example, his rants on evolution. He (the teacher) said Dr. Wile is just plain wrong in some areas (the tangents - not the chem, if I understood correctly).

However, he's pleased enough with the text to consider the physics text for next year. And I'm pleased that my daughter is learning chemistry! And enjoys it enough to consider the Advanced Chem book for next year!

Thanks, ladies.
This seems like a good opportunity for my daughter, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any major drawbacks to the textbook. Especially because I don't know much about the instructor.

Your experience is helpful to me!
