Hi Ladies!

Hope everyone is well...

I have a question...on Monday, the kids and I took some old film cannisters outside and tried to make rockets with the old baking soda and vinegar combination...

Our dilemma...we could not get the lid on the cannister before the gas could accumulate to propel the "rocket." The smaller amount of baking soda that we would use the less gas would accumulate and the lid wouldn't even pop off...

Any suggestions??? NASA isn't calling my name ...

we have used alka seltzer tablets and some water cannister of water. the tablets buy you a bit more time. you can vary the amounts of water and see if the rocket will go higher. fyi, the fugi containers work best - the fluid doesn't leak out as much.
