Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Recently discovered a neat way to map outdoor adventures...Googlemaps and Mapquest have aerial/satellite map features...just put in the address of any place you want to go exploring...Voila!...you have a wonderful aerial view for your next jaunt into nature!

We have paths mown around the back of our 20 acres... this has been a great tool for showing dc where they can venture without adults. We also use 2-way radios so everyone can keep in contact while they're exploring!

This is a really great idea, Servant!

It goes well with a book I discovered on MacBeth's site a couple of years ago, Be Expert with Map and Compass: The Complete Orienteering Handbook by Bjorn Kjellstrom.

How fun!

Jennifer, Thank you so much for sharing this! I vaguely remembered seeing this on MacBeth's site, but didn't even have her website in favorites any more (since we changed computers last year and I lost ALL our favorites). Our library actually has a copy of that title, along with several others on orienteering... can't wait to take a little rabbit trail 'round our land! Thank you again!
