Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So I didn't know how many of you already knew about this, but thought it was definitely worth sharing here :

Rachel, this is great! We were watching some ducks (or some kind of bird...it's dark in Botswana!) and a lion walked by!!

Cool! We had Zebras and warthogs earlier... along with the native deer-like creatures.

So very cool! We have seen elephants, zebra, and an ostrich!
I made the kids a Pete's Pond Safari Journal to record what they see everyday.
FUN!

So is everyone still checking out Pete's Pond? They have extended it until December now. My kids love it and check frequently. We have seen elephants, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, impalas, hyenas, waterbucks, monkeys, ostrich, guinea fowl (& various other birds we can't identify since they aren't on the list), and a couple of times we have been lucky enough to see the resident Nile crocodile, "Fattie."   They would so love to see a lion, MacBeth - what a catch for you. I'm up late many nights, so I've seen it at it's busiest times - early morning Botswana time. I even woke my daughter one night to see the crocodile for the first time. Anyway, wanted to bump this thread again in case people hadn't seen the sight. It's fun.
