Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes, though my boys are not going to be here (FL, visiting my dad...).

Once you sign up, you get access to outstanding lists of things to bring camping, and other great ideas.Imagine all this forum looking up at the same sky that night!

Here's a fun game to play around the campfire. I'm sure it's an old camping game, but my oldest dd taught me this at the swimming pool one day.

Camping Game
At least one person has to know the *secret* to the game. That would be you. You begin asking who wants to play the camping game. Then you start the game by saying, "I'm going camping and I'm bringing...(here you state something that starts with the first letter of your name)."

(Example---my name starts with a *C*): "I'm going camping and I'm bringing a camper (or cookies, chips, etc.)

You only give one item then it's the next person's turn. They won't have a clue about the secret and (let's say the next person's name is Tim) Tim might say, "I'm going camping and I'm bringing firewood."

Tim now has to be told he cannot bring firewood. If anyone in the group has a name beginning w/ *F*, you say, "Fred can bring the firewood, but you can't."

It confuses the heck out of people. With each person's turn, you keep a running tally of who is bringing what and repeat it often.

"Okay, I'm bringing a camper, cookies, and chips. Fred is bringing firewood. Pam is bringing the popecorn and pancakes."

You keep going in a circle until slowly they start to catch on.

Once all the practical stuff is named, you begin to get silly and list things that you normally would not take camping.

It's a lot of fun.

Maybe your boys and dad can camp out too! We'll be signing up. We'll look forward to your pics along with anyone else who braves their backyard

Hey.....maybe you can do virtual camp cooking for me . Send me the recipes when you decide what to cook.

Okay, I signed us up. The "Parente Park Rangers" will be camping out at our home-building site, probably will several other HS boys added to our brood. Sound like great fun!
