Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It is really quiet here lately. I pray everyone is well. Know the 4Real intentions go up for prayer most mornings--even if I haven't read them.

Ds got into most of the colleges he applied too. Most with scholarships. We are struggling making a decision between 3. Two are close in cost with scholarships, and we could make the financial part work. (Ladies who have younger kids, be prepared, it is another mortgage payment ). One, we LOVED, it felt right, it is 3 hours from home, excellent music school and reputation, but it is significantly more than the other two. We just can't make it work financially. Dh appealed for more scholarship money since they awarded him money based on music, but his grades and test scores were awesome, and they didn't touch that.

So, if it is meant to be??    Also, I want him to be happy for his 4 years.
Thanks!!

I am not to the high school stage yet, but I will pray for you all, and I can tell you what happened with a friend... her daughter always, always wanted to go to Christendom College. She loved visiting there and was accepted with no problem.

However, financially, it just wasn't going to work. She accepted this and made preparations to attend her second choice, also a good place she liked. At the same time, she continued to pray all that summer and asked family and friends to keep up the prayers.

A week before classes started, she got a call saying they really wanted her and had been able to dig up some extra scholarship money. So, she has been a student there for 3 years now.

Keep up your hopes and prayers that if it is meant to be, it will happen!

I am praying, as we will be facing this (again) next year.

I could not afford to go to my top choice school without taking out massive student loans...so I went to my second choice school and loved the experience. I met my husband there, too. Sometimes things work out even if they don't seem to be working out.
