Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am just so frazzled. Can you please pray that my 13YO learns, grows, and matures into a loving, kind person?? His moods right now are just tearing me up.

Praying with much, much, much empathy. Seems like an age thing, as our newly teenager is the same way so much of the time. I think (hope ) it's the hardest with the first because one has never faced this before. There has been quite a change to the moods, likes/dislikes, etc. She has always been one of our more challenging children, but these last months have been very hard. I have to give so much more to her right now than the other children to try and help her through this stage, it can be hard not to feel guilty for doing so.

I will certainly pray for you, and offer up the difficult days for you and your son, and would truly cherish your prayers for us, too.

Praying, as Pilgrim said, with great empathy. It does get better. Hang in there!

Thank you all. I am extending prayers to you, too, as you deal with this.

13 years ago he was my high-needs infant. Whew. Sometimes I feel like not much has changed.

(He's outside shoveling right now, though, so I need to remember to be thankful, too.)

Funny how they grow and change, but keep their basic personalities . . . :)

But yay for snow shoveling!

Prayers! My 16-year-old was a challenge at 13. He's so different now (Thank You Lord). This too shall pass :)
