My father died on 'the job' last year. Work cover insurance has money set aside for these sort of situations. After praying hard my siblings and I decided to put in a claim, we are the defendents, his wife is the plaintiff. The majority of my siblings are under 25, with 2 children under 18.

Please pray hard tomorrow, her barrister is being REALLY nasty, very confronting, particularly on allegations we have made in the past that our barrister had expected him to leave alone. It is normally not common to challenge these sorts of allegations.

I am going to have to go public with private family stuff, I naively thought this would be dealt with as a simple insurance matter. I should have known better. also please pray that the matter of my homeschooling is not brought up, there is a story there.

I know I will feel your prayers tomorrow, you are all such prayer warriors.

Thank you all for your prayers, I could really feel them today and the barrister for the plaintiff was not so antagonistic! He really didn't give me a grilling at all.

The outcome is that the 2 miner siblings got something and my brother at uni got a small sum. Really great is all three get a decent weekly amount whilst at studies.

The really bad news is that those three have their legal costs covered by insurance and we don't. We lost (the rest of the siblings) as in we got awarded nothing, my late father's wife got the balance. So therefore our legal costs aren't covered. I am very worried, I haven't got the full legal fees yet but imagine they are substantial, I believe we really weren't given the best legal advice and we could now be facing a very steep debt. At the time we thought we could cover our legal fees with the proceedings. Please pray that it all works out somehow.
