Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've had the worst cold of my life the past 2 weeks, all kids were sick, 5 different doctor appointments, and dh was out of town. I've basically been in bed all Triduum and had to cancel our Sunday company. When it's all said and done, it really is just a bad cold, and not worth complaining about, but a little prayer could help me get over my mountain of disappointments. The house is a mess, no food is made, and no one has been to Mass. I know it's all in His hands, it just wasn't what I was expecting. God bless all of us!

APRIL 14TH. I'm on a very strong antibiotic and an inhaler for bacterial bronchitis. It's just the 3rd day, so I'm trying - still - to be patient, but symptoms are worsening, and the medication is causing nausea, an inability to sleep, and when I do dose off, nightmares about my children not being able to breathe. (These are some of the many side-effects listed with this drug.) It's been 20 days of feeling miserable, not being able to talk or sing, or not "doing" school. Just trying to offer it up for all.

You are truly participating in Jesus's Passion: "Not My will, but Thine be done." Praying for you, and for all the 4Real intentions.

I will pray...your week sounds like mine, except yours has been worse. I can sure understand your disappointment with the way things have gone. May God bless you with healing and peace.

Praying.. it's times like those that remind me how nice it is to be Catholic and have Easter be a whole season.. not just a single day.

In the trenches right there with you, Sister!!!!

I am sure our most meager attempts at prayer during theses times are most pleasing to God...mine are usually, “HELP!!” May your Easter Octave be especially peaceful and joyful!!

So sorry to hear you've had such a hard week, praying for a quick recovery on all fronts and a blessed Easter Season for you all! (I know what you are talking about, we are still doing renovations and as much as it would have been wonderful to have a really sorted house for Easter, it didn't happen...)
