A dear friend of mine had a beautiful baby girl on Sunday... the baby has several health issues but the most urgent is her heart. They are on their way to Boston Children's Hospital as the baby needs heart surgery ASAP. Please keep them all in your prayers. She has 3 little boys 4, 3 & 1 1/2.

Sue, our third child had to have heart surgey after birth for a rare defect........she turns 16yrs in one week!

We will be praying..........does the little lass have a name we could pray by?

Also, we discovered a patron of heart patients: Saint John of God.

Madeline is out of surgery/recovery and doing well...
Her heart surgery was to remove a small extra artery very near her heart that had grown and bridged between two main arteries affecting her oxygen levels.
Also from an email:
Little Madeline... "has something called VACTERL. VACTERL is actually an acronym, not a disease or a syndrome. It is used to describe the types of anomalies (physical birth defects) children may have when they are born. Vertebrae, Anal, Cardiac, Tracheal, Esophagus, Renal and Limb problems. Little Madeline has several of these problems. She has an extra pair of ribs, some anal anomalies, and problems with her wrist/thumbs, possibly missing some joints... a more serious problem is that Madeline's trachea and esophagus are draining into each other and fluid is getting into her lungs making her choke and loose oxyegen when she nurses. This will hopefully be addressed in the very near future." Madeline's Mom asks that you pass her daughter's name to others you know who will pray for her.
